General WisTech Open updates, as well as updates from each of their respective editors, for the first quarter can be found below. Note that the Open RN brand, textbooks, and related resources will all be maintained and sustained through WisTech Open. 💡General Updates

• 📚New Titles Announced!

  Great news! WisTech Open has been awarded $1.8 million in funding for the 2025–27 biennium to continue developing innovative, affordable learning resources that support student success. Thirteen new titles have been selected for development and will also be added to WisTech Fusion to help faculty build high-quality supplementary materials. We will also conduct a needs analysis for a Microsoft Office Suite resource, to coincide with the 2027 version release.

• 🔁Wisc-Online Moving to WisTech Open

  For more than 20 years, Wisc-Online has provided free, high-quality digital learning resources to students, educators, and lifelong learners. Beginning in December 2025, the original Wisc-Online site will officially transition to WisTech Open—a new statewide platform uniting open educational resources and innovative tools to support learners across Wisconsin and beyond.

  The new home will be available in December at wistechopen.org/wisc-online.

  🔄What's Changing

  • The current Wisc-Online site will close in December 2025.
  • The Arcade (Play/Build Games) and Image Repository will be retired.
  • Some older content will be phased out.
  • Content will no longer be ad-supported.

  ✅What's staying

  • The Wisc-Online brand will remain strong within WisTech Open.
  • A curated collection of Wisc-Online learning resources will still be available—just in a new home.
  • Existing web addresses (wisc-online.com and wisconline.org) will redirect to WisTech Open starting in January.
  • Access remains free for everyone.
