Note that the Open RN brand, textbooks, and related resources will all be maintained and sustained through WisTech Open. General Updates

• 📘 Nursing Pharmacology OER Textbook:
  The peer review process is concluding, with over 40 volunteer reviewers nationwide. Reviewers used rubrics and the Hypothes.is tool for feedback. The textbook is currently being piloted at five WTCS colleges. Surveys from faculty and students will guide revisions.
  Estimated Publication: June 1, 2020 on Pressbooks, and to be uploaded to LibreTexts.
• 🛠️ Development Begins for Two New Textbooks:
  Work has started on the Nursing Fundamentals and Nursing Skills OER textbooks. WTCS faculty workgroups are creating content aligned with state curriculum competencies, using Google Docs for collaborative editing.

• 🧑‍⚕️ Virtual Reality Collaboration:
  Open RN is collaborating with Madison College on a college-wide VR initiative. A VR vendor announcement is expected in early March, followed by development of nursing simulation scenarios.
• 🌍 International Recognition:
  The Nursing Pharmacology textbook was accepted by the Open Education for a Better World (OE4BW) initiative by UNESCO. Open RN has been invited to present at the OE4BW Conference in Slovenia, June 2020.
