General WisTech Open updates, as well as updates from each of their respective editors, for the fourth quarter can be found below. Note that the Open RN brand, textbooks, and related resources will all be maintained and sustained through WisTech Open. General Updates
- 🎧 Digital audiobooks are coming soon! Stay tuned to upcoming newsletters for release dates.
- 🩺 The Open RN team will present at the Missouri League of Nursing Conference on June 5–6, 2025, showcasing OER textbooks, virtual simulations, and NGN-style case studies available via ADAPT.
- Next Gen RN & ADAPT: The ADAPT homework platform remains free to WTCS colleges until June 30, 2025. In 2024, it saw 1498 instructor submissions and 7232 direct textbook-linked submissions.
- Casegen RN: A free tool using generative AI to help create NCLEX-style case studies, available to WTCS nursing programs until June 30, 2025.
- 🗣️ WisTech Open presented on open education and equity at the National Open Education Conference in Providence, RI, October 2024.
