General Updates

• 📘 Mental Health and Community Concepts Textbook:
  The fifth OER book in the Open RN series was published in Pressbooks in August 2022. An affordable print version is anticipated in college bookstores by January 2023.
• 📘 Management and Professional Concepts Textbook:
  The print version became available in bookstores in August 2022.
• 📊 Adoption and Impact:
  During the 2020–2022 academic years, 12 WTCS colleges used Open RN textbooks in 286 OER course sections, impacting 3,165 students and generating $254,642 in student savings. Growth is expected in 2022–2023 and beyond now that all five core nursing textbooks are published.
• 🏫 Broader Adoption:
  According to XanEdu, 44 colleges and universities in the U.S. and Canada have adopted Open RN textbooks. Print editions are approximately one-third the cost of comparable commercial textbooks. Free PDFs of print versions are also available.
• 🌐 Global Reach:
  Google Analytics data shows Open RN’s free textbooks have exceeded 4.3 million page views by over 1.6 million users worldwide.
