Bio
Amy has been the director of library services at Waukesha County Technical College since 2018, and she has been interested in open educational resources since that time. In addition to her membership on the WTCS OER Network, Amy has also served on the planning committee for the Wisconsin Open Education Symposium since its inception, and she has presented a lightning talk there entitled “An OER Workshop for Faculty on the Canvas LMS.” This was based on a workshop that, along with a curriculum designer, she created for instructors called “Using OER in Higher Ed.” It provided continuing professional development credit to full-time instructors and compensation to adjunct instructors who completed the course. She currently is the grant manager for OER at WCTC.
Amy has a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) from Dominican University in Illinois, a Master of Arts (MA) in English literature from Hofstra University in New York, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in communication from St. Norbert College in Wisconsin.
