Bio
P. Pamela Holt, EdD, MET, is the Executive Dean of Learning Support at Milwaukee Area Technical College. At MATC, she is leading efforts of innovation and continuous quality improvement to better serve students and faculty. Ms. Holt brings a wealth of experience in the areas of curriculum, assessment, data analysis, educational technology, faculty development, online learning, alternative credential development and innovative strategic planning and is a GenAi enthusiast, leading the Ai Taskforce. She earned her doctorate in Curriculum, Teaching, Learning and Leadership at Northeastern University in 2019 where she researched nontraditional student characteristics and adaptive learning technology. She received her Master’s in Educational Technology from Boise State with a Masters Certificate in Online Learning for Adults. Prior to that, Pam earned her Bachelor’s degree in Management of Informational Technology from Cardinal Stritch University with a Bachelor Certificate in Human Resources. After an extensive career in informational technology, she managed educational initiatives at Aurora Health Care, leading the development of their distance learning program that engaged over 145 clinics, 13 hospitals with well over 35,000 learners. She left corporate health care to pursue a career at the Medical College of Wisconsin as Manager of Curriculum and Instructional Design. After leading a substantial curricular change, Ms. Holt was offered the position of Director of Curriculum and Instructional Support at MATC where she led the transformation of college’s academic programs to the Career Pathway model. Right before COVID, she was promoted to Dean of Online Learning where she developed strategies that focus on instructional quality and online student success. In addition to being a respected post-secondary leader, Ms. Holt has contributed to instructional strategy workshops and presented posters at several national conferences including the Central Group on Educational Affairs and the International Association of Medical Science Educators, WCET, Anthology Together and UPCEA.
