Kelly Carpenter

Kelly has been an Instructional Designer at Moraine Park Technical College (MPTC) since 2024, where she also manages the WTCS OER Grant and leads MPTC’s OER initiative. She additionally provides librarian and citation support for Open RN and WisTech Open consortia textbook projects. With more than 15 years of experience in the Wisconsin Technical College System, she has been a long-standing advocate for open education and information accessibility.

Kelly spent a decade as Library Manager at Lakeshore Technical College before transitioning into the role of Director of the Teaching & Learning Center at Lakeshore. She holds a Master’s in Library & Information Science (MLIS) from UW-Milwaukee, a Bachelor of Science in Education (BSE) from UW-Whitewater, and an Instructional Designer Certificate from the Online Learning Consortium (OLC).
