Why did Wisc-Online change?
Wisc-Online has upported millions of learners for over 20 years. It was time for a refresh! By moving to WisTech Open, we were able to continue offering free, high-quality learning resources on a more modern, sustainable platform.
What happened with the Wisc-Online Arcade?
The Play Games Arcade went offline at the time Wisc-Online moved to WisTech Open.
Do saved links or bookmarks still work?
No, bookmarks to the old site stopped working after December 2025.
What happened to Wisc-Online objects that were downloaded into LMS platforms?
If instructors had downloaded and embedded Wisc-Online objects (like SCORM packages) into their LMS, those continued to work even after the Wisc-Online site transitioned to WisTech Open. These objects were self-contained and did not rely on the live site.
Is there an opportunity to develop new content?
Yes. Ideas for new content could be shared at https://www.wistechopen.org/contact by selecting “Pitch a Project Idea.” All project ideas were considered based on available funding.
