From Zero to One Million (Dollars Saved)

Since 2013, the use of OER materials at Chippewa Valley Technical College grew from a tiny pilot by passionate faculty to an institutional effort that delivered over $1,000,000 in student savings in 2020-21. This presentation will tell the story of the starts, stops, controversies, missteps, and successes that eventually led to a college-wide Affordable Learning initiative.
