Bio
Angela earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Marquette University, with a secondary major in Spanish for the Health Professions, in 2009. After graduation, she taught high school Spanish in North Carolina through the Teach for America program. Upon returning home to Wisconsin, she decided to pursue nursing. Angela received an Associate Degree in Nursing from Milwaukee Area Technical College, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Marian University, and a Master of Science in Nursing with an emphasis on nursing education from Capella University.

Angela has been a nurse for almost 12 years and holds a certification in medical-surgical nursing. For nearly seven years, she has taught in the ADN program at Waukesha County Technical College. She is passionate about sharing her love for nursing with her students. Her favorite part of teaching is seeing students’ eyes light up when they make connections between theory and practice.

Angela has helped author two Open RN textbooks and has served on workgroups for two others. She appreciates Open RN textbooks because they are written in a way that students can easily understand. Furthermore, they help alleviate some of the financial burden associated with earning a nursing degree.
